Our vision for
small groups
We believe that God wants every person here on earth to experience life in abundance and that he has destined us to find freedom and healing in relationship with others. We want to live this in the form of small groups. Discover how your life is changed in small groups and how it is a place full of fellowship, God’s Word, prayer and deep friendships for you personally.
Our small groups meet in two periods during the calendar year. These “semesters” are in the fall (September to December) and spring/summer (February – July). There is a semester break in between.

Leading a small group
You get to serve others by creating a place where they can build relationships. To start a group, choose a topic or activity that interests you and attend our small group leader training. We believe that people’s lives are changed as they take their next steps with Jesus. As a small group leader, you get to play an important role in this process.
Hey, most small groups take a break in August. You can register your small group for the fall semester at the beginning of August. The fall semester starts on September 28. Feel free to keep meeting and enjoying the summer!

Each small group looks different, depending on the interests and passions of the participants. Whether it’s jogging, bowling or Bible study, turn what you already love to do into a small group! Are you looking for content that you can cover with your small group? We offer resources and recommend good books to help you engage with your participants.

Sharing about the Sunday sermon is a great way to get into conversation with your participants. Here you will find a discussion guide that you can use as a debriefing for every sermon.
In the sermon archive you can listen to the sermon again and find the sermon handout with the summary of the sermon and the relevant Bible passages.
Experience life in freedom.
LIFE has the potential to help you recognize God’s truths in your life and thereby experience freedom in Christ. The highlight and conclusion of the course is the joint LIFE weekend.
The LIFE booklet is required for this curriculum – to obtain the booklet for you and your group, simply send an email to: kleingruppen@ecclesia.church.
If you have not yet taken part in a LIFE small group, we recommend that you first take part as a participant before leading one yourself.
Arriving and taking off in and with Jesus and the Ecclesia Church
The 14-week WELCOME HOME curriculum is designed for two target groups: people who are new to walking with Jesus and/or people who are new to Ecclesia Church. Depending on the composition and goals of your group, you can flexibly emphasize some topics and leave others out.
The aim is for people to grow in their relationship with Jesus, to find their spiritual home and to experience that God wants to continue to walk with us. This curriculum requires the Welcome Home booklet – to obtain the booklet for you and your group, simply send an email to: kleingruppen@ecclesia.church.
Strengthen and discover the foundations of the Christian faith
“New Life” is designed to give you and your participants a solid foundation for life as a Christian. It is the perfect course for both new and long-time Christians.
Curriculum “Supernaturally evangelize”
The 8-week curriculum “Supernaturally Evangelizing” has the potential to ignite the fire of God’s love in us to bring people who do not know God into contact with His heart and His power. We learn to engage in a very practical way with what God has in mind for the people we meet in everyday life – just as Jesus did.
Each chapter concludes with an application section to reflect on what we have learned, discuss it in the group and apply it in everyday life.
Curriculum on the life of King David
The Bible describes David as a man after God’s own heart. This curriculum covers his life: his greatest achievements, his character, his heart attitudes and six basic principles that will help you to be victorious in life.
10-week curriculum based on the book of the same name by John Bevere
It seems very easy to distinguish between good and evil. Generosity, humility and justice are good, selfishness, arrogance and cruelty are evil. But is that really the case? If goodness is so obvious, why does the Bible say that we must have trained senses to recognize it? This book should help you to see good and evil from God’s perspective.
10-week course on the subject of prayer
“Teach us to pray!” This was the urgent request of the disciples to Jesus and is still a major concern for many Christians today. They often don’t know exactly how to interact with God and long for more. This 10-week course is about prayer in all its facets, but above all about entering into a relationship with God and getting to know him better and better.
8-week curriculum based on the book of the same name by Kevin Leman and William Pentak
The biblical image of the shepherd who cares for the well-being of his flock – with this wonderful parable, the authors show new ways of leading people. This book teaches you how to lead the people entrusted to you so that they see their ministry or work not just as a job, but as a calling, and their workplace or church as a place where they belong.
